July 29, 2020- A Time To Change Counseling Center, P.A. is moving our Tallahassee location! Beginning August 1, 2020, our sole Tallahassee location can be found at 1363 East Lafayette Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301. To enter the building, please use the entrance and parking lot at the back of the building, which can be accessed off of Chowkeebin Nene.

A Time To Change Counseling Center, P.A. is a locally owned practice servicing both Leon and Wakulla Counties. We care about the people of our community, because you are our neighbors. We are dedicated to providing quality, professional and confidential care for all ages to the communities of Leon and Wakulla Counties. We provide a wide range of services in a confidential, caring and safe environment. All our professionals are licensed with the State of Florida, and we have over 50 cumulative years experience working in this field.
SABRINA JOINER, MSW, LCSW
Sabrina Joiner, L.C.S.W. earned her B.S. in Psychology and Master's in Clinical Social Work (with additional certification in Family Systems) from FSU in 1998, graduating summa cum laude. She completed her internship at the FSU Marriage and Family Therapy Center and worked as a Youth and Family Counselor at Capital City Youth Services before beginning her private practice in 2004. Mrs. Joiner is an E.M.D.R.I.A. certified E.M.D.R. therapist and specializes in parenting issues, marital conflict, depression, anxiety, women's issues, Christian counseling, and trauma.
CYNDI GOODWIN, MSW, LCSW
Cyndi Goodwin, L.C.S.W. acquired her MSW from FSU in 1998. She worked for DISC Village in various programs during graduate school and in 1999 began to work for CCYS as the Wakulla County CINS/FINS Counselor. That position later grew into the PAC Success Academy Program Specialist position. Cyndi has been a resident of Wakulla since 1997 and began her private practice in 2004. Cyndi specializes in working with children and adults dealing with depression, trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions, and abuse. She is trained in E.M.D.R. and is a facilitator for the MATRIX WAKULLA Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse.
ANGIE PAARLBERG, MSW, LCSW
Angie Paarlberg, L.C.S.W. received her BS from Florida Southern College and her Master's in Social Work from Valdosta State University. She has been working with children and adolescents since 1996 in various settings such as in the home, school-based, residential programs, detention centers, and outpatient settings. She also has extensive experience working with Alzheimer's patients and their families in a nursing home setting. A resident of Crawfordville since 2009, Angie joined ATTCCC in 2011 where she focuses on school-based therapy services. She is also E.M.D.R. trained.
JILLIAN CRYMES, MSW, LCSW
Jillian Crymes, L.C.S.W. acquired her Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Social Work from Florida State University. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. During graduate school, she worked and volunteered in various capacities including: families experiencing domestic violence, crisis counseling, rape crisis services, and emergency case management services for families at risk for experiencing homelessness. In 2011, she began working with at-risk children and adolescents in a residential setting, focusing on the impacts of trauma. During that time, she developed clinical and trauma informed trainings for the residential campuses, and facilitated those teachings statewide. Jillian specializes in working with children and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and the impacts of trauma.
COURTNEY WILLOUGHBY, LMHC
Courtney Willoughby, L.M.H.C. earned her combined M.S./Ed. S. degree in Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University in 2015. She completed her internship and received a full-time position at the Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center working in crisis stabilization. Courtney is skilled in working with adults and couples dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and life transitions. Her goal in therapy is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients to process and heal from life's challenges.
LISA TRAVER-ETHERIDGE, MSW, LCSW
Lisa Traver-Etheridge, L.C.S.W. earned her M.S.W. from the University of South Florida School of Social Work in 1990. Prior to joining A Time To Change, she spent time working throughout inpatient and outpatient practice settings in several Florida locations, as well as working as a college program director, where she taught social work-related courses. She specializes in adoption and attachment issues, depression, grief, substance abuse, personality disorders, and severe mental illnesses while working with all ages. Lisa’s therapy tends to be directive, cognitive, behavioral, and strengths-based.
CAITLIN BURNS, MSW, LCSW
Caitlin Burns, L.C.S.W. received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Florida State University in 2004. Caitlin worked for over a decade as a grief counselor with Big Bend Hospice and started her journey in private practice in 2018 working with Capstone Center. Caitlin joined A Time To Change in November 2019. She is certified in E.M.D.R. and specializes in group work, grief, loss, and trauma. Caitlin works with people of all ages on issues related to grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and life transitions. She strives to help all her clients feel safe and confident so they can begin to heal, grow, and reach their goals.
MELISSA ROY, MSW, LCSW
Melissa Roy, L.C.S.W. earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University in 2003. She completed her internship at Children’s Medical Services and started her career in public guardianship and early intervention programs. She has over 12 years’ experience working in hospice care providing counseling and support to children and adults with terminal and chronic illness. Melissa specializes in helping children, teenagers, adults, and seniors cope with anxiety, depression, medical issues, grief and loss, life transitions, improving relationships and communication, women’s issues, codependency, and parenting support/education. She also specializes in geriatrics, helping caregivers deal with stress/fatigue, and those dealing with chronic health issues, and offers Christian counseling.
JOSE ARIZA, MSW, RCSWI
Jose Ariza, R.C.S.W.I. earned his M.S.W. from Florida State University in 2018. After completing his internship, he received a full-time position at the Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center working in crisis stabilization in an inpatient practice setting. Jose is skilled in working with adults and children dealing with depression, anxiety, anger management, personality disorders, addictions, and life transitions. His therapy focuses on utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy.
JUSTIN CRYMES, MA, RMHCI
Justin Crymes, R.M.H.C.I. earned his Bachelor's Degree from Furman University and completed his Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Webster University in 2008. Justin began his career working for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health providing therapy to adults in a residential setting and Wraparound services to children and adolescents in 2005. After moving to Florida in 2009, Justin worked as a therapist and eventually as a director in a variety of residential programs for youth in foster care. Justin is currently a Registered Mental Health Intern and is working towards his L.M.H.C. license. Justin is trained in E.M.D.R. and specializes in working with adults and teens with a history of trauma.
TONYA EAGLIN, MA, RMHCI
Tonya Eaglin, R.M.H.C.I. earned her Master's Degree in Psychological Counseling from Nicholls State University in 2002 and also has specialized training in Marital and Family Therapy from California School of Professional Psychology- San Diego Campus. She has worked 8 years in correctional mental health and has over 10 years’ experience with children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disorders. Her main passion is marital and family therapy ranging from premarital/couples therapy, divorce counseling, and family conflict, as well as health psychology, weight loss, women's health issues, LGBTQ community, and immigration cases. Her approach is systemically based, cognitive-behavioral and post-modern therapy focusing on an existential approach. Tonya’s goal is to create a warm and genuine therapeutic environment for her clients.
HOLLY SCHILLING, PH.D.
Dr. Schilling obtained her Doctorate Degree in 2011 and is licensed in Georgia and Florida to practice psychology. She has a variety of experience, including providing treatment in inpatient and outpatient settings, with children and adults. She is highly skilled and experienced in conducting assessments for a variety of mental health diagnoses to include, but not limited to ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and other severe mental health disorders. Testing is also available for giftedness in children.
